what makes a venus a venus
From 5.5 pounds
Weight is the spec nobody talks about, and the one you feel right away. Every Venus starts at 5.5 pounds — light enough to play a full set without pain or fatigue.
01
A 24-inch scale
A 24-inch scale neck brings the frets slightly closer together and reduces string tension, making chords, stretches, bends, and vibrato feel easier and more comfortable.
02
Contoured to your body
The ergonomic hourglass body shape is designed for comfort, with carefully sculpted contours that reduce strain and improve balance.
03
MAKE IT YOURS
The Quick-Swap pickguard comes off and goes back on without tools in seconds. Four shapes, eighteen colors. Change it for a gig, a mood, or a season.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
If this is your first serious electric, choose the Revolution. It's the entry point to the lineup, not a beginner compromise — same 24" scale, same hourglass contour, same Quick-Swap system as the Elites, and the widest color range.
Step up to the Elite or Dark Roast when you want a USA-built instrument: figured roasted maple, DiMarzio pickups, a premium tremolo, and Luminlay side dots that glow onstage.
-
When you’re ready to step up to a pro-level instrument, choose the Elite.
The Revolution is built in Indonesia with a White Jabon body and a fixed bridge.
The Elite and Dark Roast are built in the USA with a roasted basswood body and figured maple cap, a torrefied purpleheart fretboard, DiMarzio pickups, and a US-made tremolo. Same shape, same ergonomics, different build. And simply gorgeous.
-
No. It’s full-sized and full-featured — dual humbuckers with coil-splitting, stainless steel frets, a compound-radius fretboard, and the same ergonomic design as every Venus.
It's built to take you from your first chord to playing out, not to be outgrown in a year.
-
Guitar Player's reviewer put the adjustment at about twenty minutes, after which it stopped feeling different and started feeling right.
A 25.5" scale spaces the frets further apart and puts the strings under higher tension. At 24", the frets sit closer together and the strings are easier to press and bend — bends that take real effort on a standard-scale guitar come easily on a Venus.
-
More than almost any other spec, and almost nobody talks about it.
Ergonomic guidance suggests you should carry no more than about 5% of your body weight on one shoulder for extended periods.
For a 140-pound player, that's about 7 pounds. Every Venus is between 5.5 and 6.25.
-
No tools, no expertise. Our unique patented Quick-Swap pick guard system allows you to change your pickguard in under ten seconds — four shapes, eighteen colors.
The Elite Blue Morpho and Dark Roast add the Amulet system: swappable medallions for the headstock, body, and SuperStrap.
-
Send it back. Venus offers a 7-day satisfaction guarantee with a full refund and return shipping covered.
You can't know how a guitar sits against your body from a photo — which is exactly why the policy exists.

Revolution and Elite (Blue Morpho and Pearl) ship from stock.
